Automatic Platform Gates
Automatic platform gates are half height doors on the platform that prevent people from walking onto the tracks. They are typically used in above-ground stations because platform screen doors would be used for underground stations.
Although the automatic platform gates are designed for use at a station, it is possible to use them anywhere else. It can be used as a cool fence to a house... just use your imagination!
Recipe
The automatic platform gates has a shapeless recipe and can be crafted with one glass block, one redstone dust, and one oak fence gate. The "door section" can be used to craft the "glass section" and vice versa.

Operation and Physics
Placement
In order to function properly, automatic platform gates should always be placed on platform blocks. The "door section" is the part that opens and closes, and the "glass section" is like a normal fence and doesnt move. Make sure you have two blocks of vertical space before trying to place the platform screen doors.
Powering
The only way to open and close the automatic platform gates is to put redstone wire underneath the platform blocks. When the redstone is on, the doors will open; when the redstone is off, the doors will close, just like a normal Minecraft door.

Coloring and Display
To change the destination display of the gates, hold the brush in your hand and right click on the glass part of the automatic platform gates. A graphical user interface will appear, and you can select the color and platform number that will be displayed on the automatic platform gates.
